QT with my Daisy girl | New Hampshire Pet Photographer

Monday, January 16th, 2012

It’s been awhile since my Daisy girl had a photo shoot so I figured today would be the day.  This morning while the sun was shining through the windows and Daisy was being… well, Daisy, I grabbed my camera and followed my pup upstairs.  I’m pretty sure she knew this was the best light in the house for that time of day.

Daisy is used to the camera being up in her face. She is use to the sounds, the way the camera looks in my hand and she knows what to do when I whisper her name.

I love capturing my Daisy girl as she is because after all that’s how I love her.

When she won’t look at me I know when she’s had enough! :)

If you haven’t already had professional pictures of your beloved pets I say it’s time you think about it.

Fifty-two on Friday {12/52} | Fur-Pets

When I read what the upcoming theme was last week I got all excited and had different ideas in mind. Despite the fact that this week seemed impossibly long, I didn’t remember until last night, when it was already dark out, that I had a certain look I wanted for this week’s entry. Oh well. I had to settle for some indoor photos. Daisy is used to having a camera in her face which makes it easy for me to get some photos of her. She has really been enjoying the runs we’ve been going on lately! I am registered for a 5K on April 23rd and another on June 9. I am so excited for both!

Happy Friday!

Capturing the Details | Nicolasa Moreau Photography New Hampshire Photographer

My Daisy loves being outside.  She especially loves lying out in the sun on the deck on warm spring afternoons.  We don’t have children, and I hear many parents say what  a joy it is to experience the world through the eyes of their little one.  I must say that I enjoy seeing the world through Daisy’s perspective.  I love getting down on the ground with her and trying to figure out exactly what she is looking at.

The sense of peace I feel when capturing the details of any subject I photograph is indescribable.  I guess you could compare it to taking a hot bath, doing some yoga, or going for a run.  I don’t have to think about anything but what I am looking at and how I want to capture it. I love it.

I love photography and the complete happiness it brings me!

Hi Friends! I am so excited to share a new journey that I am embarking on with 20 other photographers! It’s a 52 week project where we have 52 different themes. Each week we focus on one of those different themes to stretch our creativity and keep us actively engaging our love for photography! Every week under my post will be a link to another photographer, and she will link to another photographer, and it will keep going until it brings you full circle back here! It’s an incredible idea, and I am thrilled to be a part of this group of amazing ladies! You don’t want to miss out on all of these posts, so be sure to keep clicking to see everyone’s photos!

The theme for this week is Self Portraits.  I am not camera-shy by any means! I am in fact quite the ham when it comes to getting my photo taken.  I have always been like that! However, it feels a bit different when you are taking the photo of yourself.  I felt silly smiling like crazy at a camera without someone behind it!  So, instead I decided to relax on the couch with my Daisy girl.  I love how quickly she would curl up in my lap and start giving me kisses.  This was one of my favorites out of the ones I took.

The next photographer in this circle is Amy Ames from North Carolina blog Check out her self-portrait!

Happy Friday!

Daisy and her black mask

Daisy

Daisy, our Boxer, is not only a great source of entertainment, but is also the subject of many of my photo shoots.  Whenever I learn something new, or want to try something out, or just play around, Daisy is the one whose face I get into.

The good thing about this situation is that she doesn’t care.  Not one bit.  That probably has to do with the fact that she has had a camera of some kind in her face since she came home at 8 weeks.  I actually think she likes having her picture taken because I swear sometimes she poses or moves a certain way for me.  The idea of her posing for me is just ludicrous because I highly doubt she even knows what she is doing, but it’s fun to think about anyway! Dogs are smart, so who really knows! Regardless of her intentions, I love her and I love this latest photo of her.  That black mask around her eyes gets me every time!

When I first started to seriously consider turning my photography hobby into more, the one thing I really wanted to do was photograph pets, specifically dogs.  I am drawn to their personalities and facial expressions and I love hanging out with them.  They are all so unique.  After doing some portfolio building I discovered that the need/want for pet photography in the area wasn’t as high as I had hoped for so I turned my attention to portrait photography which I fully enjoy!  It is a pleasure to meet and connect with people!

I hope you have a fabulous weekend {and if you get Monday off in celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. a long weekend!}  Don’t forget to sign up for Valentine’s Mini Photo Sessions as the slots are getting filled, you’ll be sad if you miss out on the fun!

Monday Evening with Daisy

Monday, September 13th, 2010

This past weekend was super busy so I wasn’t able to set up the Monday Morning with Daisy post until now, which brings us to the evening. Regardless, I hope you enjoy Daisy being her crazy self:

I was in the basement working on the computer when I heard Daisy’s non-stop barking.  It wasn’t the “I’m stuck bark” or the “There is another dog walking in my neighborhood” bark. It was the bark she does when there is something she doesn’t like in her way. Regardless of my arrival at the scene of the crime Daisy continued with her antics…. what did I find her barking her face off at?

Daisy and I both agree that the weather we have had on Saturday and Sunday has been perfect! We love the morning chill and the constant cool breeze throughout the day.  A nice, and much needed change from the unbearable weather last week.  Daisy will bang on the door to go out and promptly plop herself down in this spot on our deck. She’s no dummy!

Daisy wishes you a Happy Labor Day and says you better get outside and enjoy the sun like she is!
